Alhambra + Albaicin day trip from Seville
Three hours of travel will take us across the 250 km that separate Seville from Granada, and it will be worth it to visit the Alhambra, the jewel of the city and the most visited Spanish monument with around 8,000 daily visitors.
On the visit to the Alhambra, you will understand why this fortress, full of palaces, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and why it is considered the eighth wonder of the world.

The first stage of the walk will take us to the area of the Alcazaba, the oldest part of the Alhambra that served as the residence of the troops.

We will discover rooms full of imagination in the forms of tracery, sculptures, mosaics and fountains, elements that transform the Alhambra Palace into Spain’s most spectacular monument.
We will finish up our guided visit to the Alhambra at Generalife, the place of rest and retreat of the Nazarene kings. It was used as a summer residence. We will visit this palace and its beautiful gardens where Moorish artists combined architecture, water, vegetation, aromas and colours.
But the day still does not end there. Touring Albaicín is the ideal complement to a tour of the Alhambra. It is the neighbourhood with the biggest personality in Granada, where the Moorish occupation also left its legacy, but in a more common way than at the Nazarene palace.
The guided tour to the Albaicin neighbourhood will take you through its labyrinthine network of narrow streets and plazas with historical churches, which were actually mosques before they became Christian temples.
We will finish up at the Saint Nicholas Lookout in order to observe the Alhambra with the white peaks of the Sierra Nevada in the background. It is the best place from which to contemplate the impressive complex of palaces that form the Alhambra, and from which to take the best photographs of this monument as well.
